Thanet Swim Club is best described as a friendly and competitive club with the aim of inspiring swimmers to achieve their full potential.  The club welcomes swimmers from level 7 of the National Teaching Plan together with older and more advanced swimmers.  Thanet Swim Club is registered with the SWIM 21 programme set up by the Amateur Swimming Association, the governing body of the sport.

The club is also registered and affiliated to East Invicta Swimming Association, Kent Amateur Swimming Association and Southern Counties Amateur Swimming Association.

The club's main session is held at Hartsdown Leisure Centre on a Tuesday evening between 6.00pm and 8.30pm with a free taster session being available to aspiring swimmers from 6.00pm.
