Swimmers can join the Thanet Swim Squad when they have obtained a Kent qualifying time or shown the potential to achieve it. The primary objective is on the development of competitive swimming. The squad offers all qualifying swimmers the opportunity to participate in extra training to improve their technique and stroke, along with their stamina and fitness. The squad meet regularly throughout the week, however its main evening takes place at Ramsgate Swimming Centre between 4.30pm and 6.30pm. The squad is open to all members of swimming clubs and will help them maximise their potential.
