Welcome to Thanet Leisureforce, a company that provides hospitality and leisure services in the Isle of Thanet. Over these pages you will find details of the facilities and services available. This includes; leisure facilities in and around the Isle of Thanet, including Margate AND Ramsgate, with activities for adults, children and families; outdoor leisure activities with information about the bays, chalets and water safety; Childcare services include Seagulls Nursery; plus a direct link to our Hospitality and Catering division including the Winter Gardens in Margate, Northdown House and Maison Dieu in Dover.

Thanet Leisureforce Limited is different from most employers in the Leisure and Hospitality industry in that it is a workforce owned and controlled company. It is an independent "not for profit distributing" Society which is commonly known as an Industrial and Provident Society.This means that we are a fully commercial trading company but with the advantages of having charitable status with charitable aims. Thus it benefits the community.
Thanet Leisureforce began trading on 1 November 1999, with two contracts providing both Leisure services along with Hospitality in a variety of leisure facilities and Catering and Entertainment venues. These include the following:
- The Winter Gardens, Margate
- Northdown House, Cliftonville
- Ramsgate Swimming Centre
- Hartsdown Leisure Centre and Pool
- Ramsgate Sports Centre
- Fit Force Studios
Various outdoor sites providing games pitches, foreshore safety and lifeguards along 34km of sandy beaches. These stretch from Birchington around the coast to Pegwell Bay.
- Beach chalets and huts for hire throughout the year.
Since then we have added to our current operations with Seagulls Nursery in Margate and Maison Dieu in Dover.

Thanet Leisureforce is run by a team of professional managers and its policies are overseen by a workforce controlled management board. It is the nature of our Society that receptionists, leisure attendants, catering and entertainment staff sit next to senior managers and co-opted members at board meetings to take important decisions affecting our multi-million pound business.
The organisation is enthusiastic, dynamic and flexible, at the leading edge of Leisure and Hospitality in Thanet. It aspires to become a benchmark for others in quality Leisure and Hospitality provision and the company is accredited with IiP (Investers in People).
Thanet Leisureforce aims to provide the best in facilities and customer service. It is a customer driven service aiming to achieve standards that will ensure that our customers enjoy themselves and want to keep returning time and time again.
The purpose of Thanet Leisureforce and its employees is to:
