FIA Award for Excellence 2004
Thanet Leisureforce have been award the FIA Award for Excellence 2004 at the recent Commit to Get Fit Awards Dinner held on the banks of the River Thames, London.
The award recognises the efforts of the company during the 2004 Commit to Get Fit campaign organised by the Fitness Industry Association in conjunction with the NHS and Diabetes UK. Leisureforce beat of competition from across the country to receive the award.
Warren Reeves (Operations Manager) said, " it is something to be shortlist on a national scale for any industry award which puts you in the top 3, but to win is just the icing on the cake for the whole team. What makes this award so special is that firstly, it's an award from the industry governing body, the FIA and is a national recognition for the work and achievements of all concerned and secondly that this is only the second year that we have run this campaign. Everyone should be over the moon and this certainly now puts Thanet on the map".
The Awards recognises the outstanding contribution that was made during the campaign both in terms of charity events and overall campaign organisation and operation. Rewarding excellence is what its all about!
Rebekah Brooker (Health & Fitness Manager) said, "This is a real motivator for the whole team. I am so pleased with this award it truly recognises the outstanding work and effort of the whole team, most of whom gave up their time voluntary to assist with all the charity events".
"Most events where organised throughout July and August including Anne Summers Nights, 70's Style Car Washes, Cyclothones, and The Thanet Leisureforce Expedition. The finale of our campaign was held at Northdown House, where DJ's and Ball Gowns where the order of the day for our summer ball. Over £2000 was finally raised for Diabetes UK. I don't think that a day went past that we didn't have something going on".
Warren Reeves added " I would personally like to thank all our customers who took part in this years campaign, without their commitment and enthusiasm we would not have raised half the amount that we did together with smashing all our targets. We are already now working on making 2005 an even more successful year than 2004.
Watch out for next year Commit to Get Fit Campaign. |
