Winter Gardens

The Winter Gardens was opened on 3rd August 1911 by the then Mayor of Margate, Alderman W B Reeve.  The history of municipal entertainment can be traced back to Margate as it blazed a trail that many others would follow.

Now the Winter Gardens is one of the biggest theatres and event venues in Kent.  It hosts a wide variety of shows from Victoria Wood and Bernard Manning to line dancing and tea dances.

The Winter Gardens boasts a thriving catering department and can accommodate 800 people in a formal seating arrangement and up to 600 for a dinner and dance.  The venue is proof that tradition and excellent standards still survive as it offers full silver service by well-trained staff.  The Winter Gardens is famous for its extensive cuisine using fresh ingredients and offers an outstanding choice of menus.

So when you need somewhere special or different for a dinner dance, banquet, lunch, breakfast meeting Christmas party night, conference, training course, meeting or award ceremonies - then contact us on 01843 296111.
